In 2006, Lau, Mak and scriptwriter Felix Chong re-teamed to make the 2005 film, " Moonlight in Tokyo ".
Mak's next film is " Lady Cop & Papa Crook " which he co-wrote and co-directed with Felix Chong.
Directed by Andrew Lau and Alan Mak; written ( in Cantonese, with English subtitles ) by Mak and Felix Chong; directors of photography, Lau and Lai Yiu Fai; edited by Danny Pang and Pang Ching Hei; music by Chan Kwong Wing; production designers, Choo Sung Pong and Wong Ching Ching; produced by Lau.
Having painted themselves into a narrative corner, the directors ( all three screenplays were written by Mak and Felix Chong ) concocted a wonderful prequel as their second feature, " Infernal Affairs II, " filling in some blanks about Ming and introducing a charismatic villain in the figure of a grieving gangland son, ( Francis Ng ).
